I hadn't really taken the idea of aliens being real seriously up until just last week, and I know I should be skeptical of what the government says, but the government is made of lots of different people with different ideas of how it should be run, so who knows, maybe it's about time we know. I also do like the idea of us not being alone, so long as the aliens are nice. But ever since the UAP hearings, I sensed a rabbithole I was behind on. After watching Matthew Pines's excellent interview on WBD, twice, I bought Ross Coulthart's book, In Plain Sight, on my Kindle. I'm about 50 pages in, and I have to say, this is a really good overview. I like the format, it's a good way to get caught up on some of these official historical records. I'm also getting caught up on the terminology... Writing things down. Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon. Non-Human Intelligence. Exotic Technology of Non-Earth Origin. Powerful terms. I'm keeping my eyes open and following closely. I'm not sure I'll be 100% until I actually see the aliens, not just spacecraft, but I think it's safe to say I'm pretty convinced, there might be something there, and I actually think that's pretty exciting. I don't think they're a threat, though it's very possible the USG bungled first contact. If I had to guess, and this is just a newcomer to this space speculating, they wanted to avoid accountability and so they kept it a secret, along with help from the CIA. But after nearly 80 years, they got really good at keeping this secret. But perhaps strategically, they primed the public through science fiction, so we might have an idea for what we were in for. Or perhaps it was just filmmakers with sources on the inside who wanted to speak out in their own way. Or maybe it's just people's imaginations subconsciously following what might actually be a logical conclusion, we are not alone. It's hard to know without further evidence. So, I'll continue reading and evaluating. Fascinating stuff! #UAPNostr #UAPHearing #UAPs

This won't be for another couple versions, but this is where BitMask.app is heading... If you've ever been a shitcoin degen, you might remember how Metamask is kinda clunky because you'll want to wait for a transaction to get mined before you start another one, since your wallet has to increment your nonce. And that's why you'd often want to use the low block time chains (other than to save on fees due to higher tx bandwidth). But with this, Bitcoin gives you plenty of time to batch transactions and save fees in doing so. And since the transactions are small and constant-sized because all the contracts are off-chain, fees should be low and easily predictable for as many contracts as you want to transfer. RGB is going to be a game-changer for DeFi. This isn't really for Bitcoin maxis, but for shitcoiners. But if miners can earn fees from defi degens and they don't bloat the chain from doing it, I don't see the harm. Especially if we can rob the other chains of their perception of utility. That's the most important thing for me, as a Bitcoin maxi, and what motivates me to work on an RGB wallet for DIBA.io. There's no good reason for degens to use shitcoins in order to gamble if they can just do whatever they want on Bitcoin instead. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Bitcoin layers are coming for the shitcoins.

If little green men can observe us from super-fast spaceships and interfere with weapons of mass destruction, why would we need to be afraid of them? They could have easily destroyed us by now. Really, if anything, shouldn't we be more afraid of our governments, for ?

Twitter might be able to take my username, but hell if they can take my private key

Anyway, I'm going to get a lot better about mirroring my same tweets over here on Nostr. This is a recent one I noticed I skipped. I figured I'd send it with Gossip with 24 bits of work in the note id :) With sufficiently high amounts of proof of work, the less there is a difference between energy and money.

lol, it looks like they quietly, meekly reenabled my account, again, with no explanation. It's a little wonky though, since I'm apparently not following anyone. You know, this would be a lot more upsetting to me if I didn't have Nostr 😹 image

So, the new X rebrand is starting off well... What's bizarre is, I keep that account professional and above-board. I have no idea why this happened. Anyway, as usual, Nostr continues to work as permissioned systems fail. image

We all do our part to make Bitcoin stronger. The protocol might be automated, but it still requires plenty of work from stakeholders. Bitcoin doesn't need you, but it's all the better with you.

Made the same tweet and nostr note. Note: 5 likes, 210 sats Tweet: 10 likes, 0 sats Plus I pay about 20k+ sats per month for Twitter, so I'm losing sats with that platform (though I've also supported plenty of paid relays, too)
