I'm seeing some people (not on Nostr) share that BI hit piece on fiatjaf. I don't really want to read that article, but does anyone have anything they can point to that addresses points made in the article? Even from what little I can tell it mentions, it sounds incredibly outlandish and reeks of sensationalist journalism.

Everybody's skeptical when I say we need to get rid of the patent system that's secured only by the state's monopoly on violence. They're like, but we won't have drugs! My response is, of course you will, in a free market, if there is demand, supply will come to meet demand, so long as suppliers are allowed produce and innovate free of state interference. High drug prices are a consequence of cronyism, not of capitalism.
