Today i terminated my #Midjourney subscription, one i loved to use to ‘imagine’ unique #art creations. and in its place i renewed my inactive Amazon #Audible subscription. In my mind getting access and consuming the lifes work of some of the greatest minds that ever lived is far more valuable to me right now than imagining #Spiderman in the style of Vincent Van Gogh. image

Just found out YouTube content creators can get tips in #bitcoin #lightning payments by simply adding a lightning emoji ⚡️ and their lightning address to their YouTube About page profile. "⚡"+ Lightning Address such as ⚡️ mrmiaggy@getalby.com Viewers with the @Alby browser extension will then be able to tip the content creator directly in #bitcoin #lightning ⚡️.

I am thankful for the continued good work undertaken by the people behind @Bitcoin Optech Newsletter. I found the 10-part series about bitcoin mempools and relay policy hugely informative. If you havent read it please do so: “Waiting for confirmation: a series about mempool and relay policy” image View quoted note →

Human body is covered with photovoltaic cells. The skin is a solar panel. -Dr. Jack Kruse image "During the day, light intensities outside can reach illuminances up to 100,000 lx in direct sunlight and 25,000 lx in full daylight. Light intensities in closed rooms are considerably lower and standard office lighting is only ~500 lx, often lower."

Few know that Satoshi programmed Bitcoin's money supply to grow indefinitely, forever. The code Satoshi wrote would re-issue a new supply of 21 million bitcoins every 64 block halvings. i.e. A new max number of coins every ~250 years. We now know this was probably an unintentionally introduced bug in bitcoin's code which was later fixed: Moral of the story: Burn your idols. #Bitcoin will find a way. image

In 1903 Mercedes automobile executives reasoned that the total worldwide demand for automobiles would never exceed a million vehicles because the number of artisans capable of being chauffeurs would never exceed a million. They were both right and wrong but mostly wrong. image

On this day in 2016 David Cameron, Prime Minister of United Kingdom, stepped down and was succeeded by Theresa May. - @Michael Saylor was a nocoiner. - @jack was running Twitter. - Block reward decreased from 25 to 12.5 new bitcoins. - The Bitcoin spot price was USD$647 - I was too consumed with distractions to care about freedom tech and it would eventually take me years to course-correct. image

“TO THE CRAZY ONES” Here's to the Crazy Ones! The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you cannot do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or, sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written? Or, gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels? We make tools for these kinds of people. While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. “Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.” [By Steve Jobs; 1955-2011] image

Got to watch ‘First Blood’ from beginning to end for the first time with the family the other day. This movie was released in 1982 and still holds up. Some action scenes are mediocre compared to today’s multimillion dollar star studded blockbusters but never the less First Blood still deserves a watch in 2023, if only to watch the determination and grit John Rambo has to go through to avoid the cruel sheriff and his deputies. image

People took the Covid vaccine for many reasons not related to the advertised safety and efficacy of the drug. You were lucky to be in a position to notice the hysteria and act. Many found themselves stuck between providing for themselves and their families, and potentially loosing all forever. For many, taking the vaccine was not an easy choice to make but it was one that had to be taken none the less. I am in no position to judge either way. View quoted note →
