Maybe this is the reason why I and other people find #nostr energising : here does exist "critical hope" when it seems that everywhere else only remains cynicism.
I never watched the show cited in the article but I did use to believe that progress (towards freedom for all, peace, etc.) was inevitable. Then came delusion with darkened perspectives for the future. And I was never really involved in social media before I discovered nostr protocol.
Here people are very critical, yet building things. Here people have revolutionary tools with nostr and bitcoin. Here I find people who keep trying and give me hope in the future again.
