I can't believe the Threads team left out support for ALT tags in their latest #ReleaseNotes, but theirs is a brilliant implementation — if you leave them blank, Threads will automatically add a description.

Twitter has changed the default to "closed" for any users that once allowed open DMs.
Unless they realize this change and undo it, this private channel that lead to so much serendipitous connection will now be pay-to-play, just liked LinkedIn InMail.
