From 30 December 2024, the EU’s Transfer of Funds Regulation (aka "Travel Rule") comes into force and will apply to all customers of EU crypto exchanges and custodians. In many cases, transactions in and out of your exchange wallet will now require additional information before they can be completed. The Travel Rule has been introduced to enhance the ability of law enforcement agencies to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. Ultimately, the intention is to stop bad actors benefitting from crypto and make it a safer, more secure ecosystem for all. #regulations #EU
