Since Google already knows what apps you have installed (if you have an android) what's even the purpose of using alternative stores like Aurora, Uptodown, or APKPure?

Idk shit about programming or tech in general really. But from reading all the comments on a reddit post I have, it sounds like I'm fucked. Without completely redoing everything in my phone and jumping thru a ton of hoops, Google and all my other apps can see and store everything I do (except maybe Signal messages).
Idk about y'all, but to me, something as simple as the use of the word "stay" as a synonym for "live" speaks volumes about the history of housing instability among people of color
