Think for half a second: Why is advertising directed at those *who cannot afford to opt out*? Lol Uh, Clearly not because the “advertisers” get people who can’t afford a $7 a mo Spotify subscription to “buy” their product. So what are people “buying”? And who is “advertising”? I mean, somehow that incredibly backwards business model is staying afloat even though, by obvious logic, it’s …illogical. What is being “bought” is not a product. & the “sell” is actually a punishment to pacify by fantasy consumption. The gov has failed to regulate such harmful behavior modification, manipulation and control of people out of the system b/c it’s been captured by industry. Since 1934, with the creation of the SEC. It becomes clear, a crucial problem going forward is how to solve the problem of regulatory capture? Some kind of self-regulating mechanism must be introduced, as Dorsey is trying to do with Nostr for communications and as the Founders of America did with the separation of powers that enabled checks and balances in the Constitution.
