Saudi Arabian Pro League thinks it can throw money and replicate European football. I would never watch it.

A lot of these full stack frameworks like NextJS are confusing to me, they run on serverless servers on the cloud (whoever is the idiot who came up that name). They can never replace an actual server so most projects end up having an actual server and now you have two servers?

I'm going to be working on a UI rebuild for lndboss. I'm very unhappy with the way I built it right now and I want to redo the frontend. Hopefully the new version will be lighter and faster and I will be splitting server and client into two separate things (instead of the current way where single server serves both frontend and backend) and will most likely even add a actual database instead of JSON files. I think the latest version doesn't have any bugs (at least not that I'm aware of) so next release is going to be after the overhaul of the frontend.

How so many companies have not yet adopted Taproot is beyond me.

Recently at an Atlanta BitDevs meetup we spoke about Blackrock's ETF filing and the speaker @HODLBarbarian mentioned that in case of a fork, Blackrock gets to decide which Bitcoin chain is the valid chain. I just looked up the filing document with SEC and here's what I found: With respect to any fork, airdrop or similar event, the Sponsor shall, in its sole discretion, determine what action the Trust shall take. In the event of a fork, the Sponsor will, as permitted by the terms of the Trust Agreement, determine which network it believes is generally accepted as the Bitcoin network and should therefore be considered the appropriate network, and the associated asset as bitcoin, for the Trust’s purposes. This concerns me a lot, traditionally the Bitcoin network has been very resistant to such attacks but when big players enter the game, things could change. What if Blackrock causes a fork and says our chain is the valid one? Of course nodes and miners have to switch but the fund is so massive and there will be so much price pressure and anything could happen. In my opinion this is like an attack on Bitcoin, curious on what others think.

I didn't understand anything that happened in Russia. Why march and why retreat? What did anyone get anything out of this?

Good morning! Hardware wallets are a barrier to entry for self custody. For someone who is just getting started, teach them to create a wallet on their phone, back up the 12 words, export the xpub and delete the wallet from their phone and start self custody. Hot wallets are not a bad thing!

Don't upgrade to LND 0.16.3, the memory leak bug is bad. If you did upgrade you can safely downgrade back to 0.16.2.

If Damus removes zaps will people finally start saying thank you to each other instead of zapping?

Can someone explain me how Twitter tipping is different from Nostr zaps that Apple wants to ban Damus?
