"I have to condemn money printing in the strongest possible terms. Because it's one of the worst disasters that can come upon a society. It’s an injustice that is incredible! And it leads to hardship for the majority of people and it benefits a few profiteers.” ― Marc Faber

The current monetary system is a Ponzi scheme. But it’s not a Ponzi scheme in the sense that it needs more people joining it in order to continue (although a lack of people can be a big problem as demonstrated by China and Japan in real time). What it needs, in order to not collapse, is more units of the currency. Because the vast majority of money in existence today is debt - it’s owed by someone, to someone. What debt has is INTEREST. There always needs to be more new money to pay for the old money. If the money growth slows down or goes negative (less debt/money is created than is repaid) for an extended period of time, there will simply not be enough money in existence in order to fulfill the claims on the money. This is why deflation is not only incompatible with the current financial system; it's the biggest threat to it.

Someone asked a question basically about whether he should become a “content creator” on Stacker News today. Here was the top-off-my-head answer: “I think the main thing you should consider is - will this content be valuable to yourself? Will it be valuable for your family and (future) children? Will you enjoy and/or learn something in the process of making it? Will you be putting yourself out of your comfort zone in a way that both excites you and scares you at the same time? If the answer is "yes" to all or most of these questions, then I reckon go for it 🤠” I think these questions are not only relevant to anybody pondering the same thing, but apply to different activities (especially artistic endeavours) in life in general. image #plebchain #grownostr #coffeechain

The biggest feminists in the world are masculine men. Because they allow for the women to fully embody their femininity. The foundation of protection and provision they supply gives women the safe environment to be feminine; to be gentle, caring, nurturing, loving - without the fear of being taken advantage of as a result of doing so.

image The result of weak money, weak men, weak families and, of course, “feminism.” I reckon this is also why women are so much more likely to vote for socialists and adjacent ideologies - intuitively, they know something is broken and that they are not responsible for protecting and providing - at the same time, they’ve been gaslit to think that having and supporting a strong male presence is supporting “the patriarchy.” In addition, in the age of soyboys and eternal manchildren, such a presence is probably not easy to come by.

Visited a studio yesterday and among other things, was having some fun doing some classic Estonian rap lyrics (by Suur Papa) on a G-Unit beat... was really considering making the video public on my channel as well (it's unlisted) but I did make a couple of minor mistakes. I reckon I'll be back in the studio shortly and I also reckon that I can get that perfect take... 🤠 Anyways, if anybody's keen to give it a listen: #tunestr

People conflate "having a job" and "working.” Most people who have a job have it because they need to pay the bills. Most people who actually work do it because they cannot not do it. The word "profession" in Estonian is "elukutse" which literally translates to "life's calling" - which is what work should be all about IMO. Also, people like to define themselves via their job - it's quite widespread in the culture (you meet someone, one of the first things they ask is quite often "what do you do for a living?"). Some people (most people?) haven't truly found themselves so they think what they do is who they are…

People tend to view art and beauty as additions and auxiliaries to the pragmatic, rational, regimented, utility-focused “real life.” I think it’s the other way around. Materialistic and rigid “real life” only exists for us to be able to fully experience and appreciate the magic of poetry, of art, of beauty, of nature, of life itself. That’s love. And that’s what life’s all about. Clip from: Dead Poets Society (1989) #plebchain #grownostr #moviestr
