Sada Social Center documented 960 digital violations targeting Palestinians and their content during January 2026, indicating an escalation of restrictions and abuses in the digital space.
According to the report, X recorded the highest number of violations, followed by Facebook and then Telegram. These practices included incitement, defamation, threats, as well as content removal and account restrictions.
The report also documented direct targeting of journalists and activists through smear campaigns and hate speech, in addition to violations affecting Palestinian women in the form of verbal abuse.
Cases of impersonation, digital fraud, and account theft were also recorded, along with prosecutions and arrests linked to online posts.The report concluded that these violations are being used systematically to limit Palestinian content and influence its presence and narrative in the digital sphere.
