We’re hearing about deliberate fraudulent chargebacks wrecking shops more and more often. If this persists, final settlement is the only way to survive. The current environment where you can’t trust shipping companies to not share your data, delivery guys stealing packages, fraudulent clients trying to steal from you, it is hard to survive. Many people give up, because in combination with bureaucratic paperwork that takes most of your time and paying over 100% of taxes (most companies are making a loss so they basically only generate tax), it might be time to get out of the traditional system that is truly broken.

We have 10x the followers on x. How does this nostr thing work?

We found one spare euro on our account to stack this dip. We convert all fiat we have into bitcoin continuously. Which means we are in generally extremely low on fiat. Sometimes we have to make a buy that feels like it could be a bottom. In general we don’t share our direct conversions, but they are instant from multiple bank accounts these days. Being able to convert bitcoin directly with business bank accounts linked to them has improved a lot over the past years. Would be great if more people would order with us in these dips, but everyone seems to be short fiat during these days. Enjoy the cheap sats as long as they last.

It’s been four years already since we were selling bitcoin flowers and a lot of bitcoin products with BloemBitcoin and @BitcoinBrabant at the Pentecost fair. @npub1nj5v...rxzg was 3D printing bitcoin coins for shopping carts and giving them to hundreds of kids. Fierce discussions about the mining and over 10k people passing our bitcoin stand. Bitcoin price was ~$30k that time.

It’s finally here. After a long journey we want thank the open source community for progressing to this point. Last year we asked a Noderunner who did a lot of development work on the Seedsigner plus, if he could create a battery version of the device including smartcard. It ended up being one of the most amazing team efforts where xmstreet and @Printer teamed up to create something that is ultimate for many. @npub17tyk...3mgl has of course many trade offs in comparison with other signers, but after helping hundreds of people with them we found the following issue to be critical. - storage of the seed, often done in QR format or plain words. Every time you want to sign you need to get your seedwords or QR code. Apart from that being a physical exposure risk, it also complicates it for many beginners. “Why so cumbersome” entering the seedkeeper by satochip that we now deliver in metal, for long term durability. - batteries, the external powersource would often be disconnected and the thread hanging out killed the easy handling of the device. - + screen, hundreds of people we helped, many complained about the small screen and buttons. Also scanning with @npub1hea9...g9v2 sparrow wallet or other coordinators has become a lot easier through this larger screen. Now the new seedsigner + battery smartcard is here, we’re expecting a bit more development on the shieldsigner fork to become official and to ease the flow even more for noobs. Our stock levels are at the lowest level in 3 years. The last two orders of the year are products that did not exist in our shop at the end of last year. This year was lower volume, higher quality. The orders this year were on average, how can we say it neatly, “more serious”. If we look at order breakdown over the year and compare it with last year. The bitcoin volume was lower than last year. The fiat volume increased. In this overview consultancy and project numbers are not incorporated. Next year we are aiming to increase the volume of bitcoin payments. How can we explain better that fiat payments leak data and are more expensive on the merchant side?

In 2026, should we kill the fiat rails on our webshop and become bitcoin only again? Currently shop intake (couple $100k) is 70% fiat. We convert it all directly into bitcoin when we sell items. It’s now been almost 2 years since a payment provider for fiat granted us the use of fiat rails again. We lost that back in 2022, because we were “doing something with bitcoin”. So many people are paying with creditcards or Apple Pay while your data is spread through payment provider and banks into a lot of databases you don’t want to be in… Especially in EU.
