Curious if this is going to be the first day in a long time without any order. The number of orders have declined, asking around a major drop in orders is felt not only in the bitcoin related shops. Also other non bitcoin businesses are seeing lower volumes. Curious what other people see in their field of work. What is the sentiment like? What is happening volume wise? Please don’t reply if you’re working for the military industrial complex.

Now that we have Nostr, we post our projects and proof of work on two platforms. The expectation is that the Nostr platform will outpace our reach on x at some point. We currently have less than 1/10th of the followers here. What would you like to see more of? We are installing another hydro setup soon and keep on shipping and building all kinds of things. Should we share or post more about this? image

The future is decentralized. “Not your keys not your coins” “Not your hash not your cash” “Not your node you share your code” Seeing a block being hit with a full sovereign setup is the next step in decentralization. We knew it was going to happen at some point. Today is the day. It was around block 888.888, we took back sovereignty, just before it was too late. It’s now time to scale sovereign compute, we all know there is going to major dispute. To avoid escalations we can secure freedom now for our future generations. We have been trying to make it very clear for more than a year. If we don’t win on truly owned sovereign hash, bitcoin will not be a free to use digital cash.

So it’s plebday today and we decided to agree with 3 vendors to give an insane discount to make Bitaxes available for the plebs below cost price. The current discount means that you can get a bitaxe below €100,- between 18.00 and 22.00. The discount code was created by the famous pleb 100AcresRanch. Enjoy!

Past months we worked on this partnership. 25% of our service fees go directly to the further development of the open source project. We are particularly excited about taproot miniscript expanding multisig. Looking forward to help people with inheritance and corporate setups. View quoted note →

The Noderunners were so nice to directly analyze the problem with this type of Leicke adapter. This is the first test run, we will do more to verify. Thanks for the direct proof of work! Here’s the English translation: --- sawed open his power supply and performed some measurements. First of all, it is a flyback switching power supply. 1. The output capacitors are blown (C8 / C9 3300uF 16V, 1500uF 16V) - NOT OK 2. The output diode MBR4045CT (dual diode) - OK 3. The primary MOSFET (7N60) is shorted between Drain and Source - NOT OK 4. The snubber circuit, which is supposed to protect the MOSFET, consists of various resistors, D3, and C3. D3 is an IF107 fast recovery diode, which is OK. C3 2J222J (2.2nF) measures 2319pF - OK 5. The resistors mentioned above are fried (open circuit, OL) - NOT OK Conclusion: The snubber that is supposed to protect the MOSFET is poorly designed, likely due to low-quality resistors or similar issues. As a result, the MOSFET is not protected, leading to large voltage spikes in/to the flyback transformer. This causes a higher output voltage that the capacitors and the Bitaxe cannot withstand, resulting in blown capacitors at the output and a blown Bitaxe. To add some strength and certainty to this, I would need more defective power supplies to check if they all indeed have the same problem, confirming that this is actually the issue causing all the Bitaxes to fail. RECALL 🚨 ‼️ LEICKE ADAPTERS for bitaxe gamma. Over the past 1+ year we have sold and used Leicke adapters without an issue and they have proven to be great with the Supra, having an amazing track record. In the past weeks we’ve seen more and more burned U3 chips on the gammas. Always with the 6A 30W 5V adapters by Leicke. Never with our own manufactured bitaxe branded ones. In general after months of proper operation the client updates the firmware or repowers the bitaxe. Or sees that the bitaxe has stopped hashing. After plugging the adapter back in the U3 chips burns. This in general happens after many weeks/months of operation. Since we’ve seen more and more of these issues we’re recalling all of our hundreds of adapters to replace it with our own production ones, that have not seen any problems. Now the difficulty adjustment is here for us, we delete all client data after shipment. So please spread this message if you know people who ordered a gamma with us and have them do the following. Check if you have a Leicke 30W 6A 5V adapter (other Leicke adapters are perfectly fine for more than a year, so don’t worry about them). If so go to our website and use the contact form. Send us your order number, e-mailadres you want us to use for your shipment and the shipping address. We will delete the email coming through the contact form directly after shipment. We hope to be able to keep as much hash as possible online through this recall. Very sorry but after many discussions we were always sure the Leicke was the best product before we produced our owns. Now it became clear after long term running its not the best for the job. We’re sorry we failed there and will keep improving. This will cost us a lot, as we’ve shipped hundreds of these adapters… hope we are here to see a long lasting relationship with our clients.
