Supplying sovereign bitcoiners since #700.000 '21.

Notes (20)

Received an order from France. Following comments per mail after order: - “couldn’t find the language switch button, made the order in Dutch…” Directly made it more apparent. Now it’s not just the Liquid Glass flag but also the NL/EN text to make it more expressive. - “now you responded and found the button, I found a location on your website where it is not translated and one of the page links on a picture click shows a 404” Holimoli, thanks for that, directly fixed it, we totally missed it. Bitcoiners are a different breed. https://bitcoinbrabant.com image

It’s interesting how extremely different engagement is on x. At least in nostr it’s continuously zero. 😂 image image

We’re preparing to launch a new product line in cooperation with a company that holds a treasury in bitcoin that actually creates something bitcoiners need. That we believe will sell better than our seal bags (sold thousands). And its slogan is “silence the chaos”. Which company do you believe we will be the first official reseller in EU for? We actually bought the goods with bitcoin, directly settled. Manufactured and paid for to a different continent, zero cost, full privacy. Depending on customs, in stock next week. Excited. image

We've spent the last weeks updating our product portfolio, updating our website and expanding the range of products and ease of use of our website. Security and theme updates on the backend, navigation, translation and design updates on the frontend. We've had over 40.000 views on our website. It's nice to see that the inception of the first page was on 2021-09-09. We went live two days after 2021-09-11. It was exactly at block #700.000. We've helped thousands of people with freedom and sovereignty throughout Europe. We are launching new products weekly currently. Products that bitcoiners will love. If you have any advice on our website please let us know. We love to build with and for the bitcoiners. image image

Just did a major overhaul of our website. We updated all our informative pages. We listed the Canaan miners, because people are requesting those. Also listed the seedsleeve, which we believe is going to be a really cypherpunk solution for one of your backups. We are working together with Mineracks in Australia and Hodling in Switzerland for this one. Please DM if you want to have more details. https://bitcoinbrabant.com/product/seedsleeve/

It’s interesting to see the enormous surge of coinjoins. And when you spend, you might want to use a coinjoin. We had some fellow plebs that bought some stuff via our webshop. Just to check for our fellow Noderunners we decided to check on the UTXO, it came from a relatively large UTXO. On public open source block explorers like @bithypha and many others you can already check out the trace. In this particular case it was directly clear it came from a too large bitcoin number. For a lousy webshop buy. If you have larger UTXOs to spend from, make sure you coinjoin, otherwise if that data leaks or the shop has bad intentions you are at risk. Of course it’s best to use lightning, but if you use custodial lightning you might again use some additional privacy. It should for sure become best practice for on-chain spending. Another use case that is important is the data leakage and sharing risk. Your UTXO’s coming from KYC exchanges are linked to your personal data and put into many databases with government institutions. It’s a matter of time until they are leaked and your UTXO on your name not spend, or just moved one hop, is worth trying to knock on your door. You might not be as paranoid as many plebs, but once it becomes clear the data leakage has occurred you might simply be too late… nostr:note1djvysp33l26ak03pr8v06wpha9ucn3v9mfe4v0uzgn682yq9v7jqepdfq6

GM if you look at bitcoin, one particular thing is interesting. The hashrate. We’ve passed 1 zetahash, we didn’t just pass it. We’re blasting over it. The amount of buildout is unbelievable. A large nuclear reactor of electricity generation equivalent just spun up in a few weeks. Proof of work done by over a billion chips distributed over millions of machines. Global game theory, global money, decentralized. image

This seriously exploded. Not so much here, but our DM's and mailbox was spammed with stickers. Great to see. So we built the following for our fellow dutchies. As you all know the dutch community, with hundreds of locations accepting bitcoin for over a decade, is quite active. So we're going to support it in a special way. You can order a sticker directly with the businesses and people that are actively helping bitcoin adoption locally. We tried to explain the different options for bitcoin payments on a separate page too. We will actively update the page, but you can already order stickers and check how we setup the dutch page. It's only available in dutch as it is created to increase dutch adoption with local sticker shipping. When you click the english language button the homepage excludes the payments tab. In 2021 we shortly had this tab active, we now revived it again to support all the ongoing initiatives. https://bitcoinbrabant.com/betalingen/ nostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzqqcum72xramg3wxvefua8hlfnws5a090u7wcfp4d6vrv3c79rm3lqy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcqyqenfr3h8dgaadqkr4a3sdwtfazgg6357drdvddrkd5pfkx9metvynnt0ne

We want to list (as per request) this sticker on our website. It would be a double sided window sticker, so you can use it as a normal and window sticker. Issue, where is the source file for this logo? Can't find a high quality PDF or SVG ready for print. Anyone has an open source GitHub where the bitcoin stickers can be found so everyone can just print them? image

As we exist for four years (one cycle) now, we will post some stuff that was utterly unsuccessful. Our beautiful wrapping paper. On our website we made wrapping paper a possibility to order. Apparently everyone orders stuff for themselves. We basically bought multiple roles of wrapping paper for ourself 😂 image

It’s 9/11 today. One cycle ago (4 years) @BitcoinBrabant started. At block #700.000. 2 years, half a cycle were given to make it work. It didn’t, conclusion: if you don’t borrow fiat, you keep on losing bitcoin. We do however persist and refuse to borrow fiat. A sovereign bitcoin company is still here, having supplied freedom and inspired tens of thousands of people. “Every person I meet is my superior in some way, in that, I learn” image

Our Bitcoin Brabant Node runs StartOS. We simply wanted to bring nodes to the masses at a cheaper price. In agreement with start9 we’re under the DIY instances. Importing these devices from the US while building the same setup ourselves saves. Import tariffs Shipping costs Taxes You basically save a lot of money by not paying additional fiat to the state. If you buy a node with us and are happy with it, contribute to this amazing open source project. https://bitcoinbrabant.com/product/bitcoin-brabant-start-os-node/ image

It's nice that Namecheap just sold their most expensive domain name ever with bitcoin. The amazing thing is that they are using BTCPayserver, which means that the payment system is hosted by themselves. This open payment system can be used by anyone and basically makes receiving payments have near zero fees. When looking at large payment receiving entities, accepting bitcoin payments will save significant fees, administrative load and idiotic clawbacks and other retarded stuff such as the data about you that is being sold that exists in the traditional payments world... Bitcoin is a better store of value and medium of exchange already. People just haven't found that out yet.https://x.com/NamecheapCEO/status/1965403077143654453

GM If you can’t verify the transaction on an offline signing device, you’re doing it wrong. If you’re using a coordinator that is Java based, or even worse, web based, you’re doing it wrong.
