All registered participants will be assigned to multidisciplinary teams of approximately 7–8 people composed at least of 2-3 business profiles and 5 technical profiles. " - "The winning teams will receive a symbolic rewards and community recognition." Is this how you reward people working on FOSS? With this hackathon the EC does not care about the Maker-Taker problem, they are part of it.

💯 I think for creators working towards a 1000 true fanbase (from Kevin Kelly) could work very well. And your fans should have the freedom to share their value (money) in many ways. With the best money (sats) and best technology (like nostr, so you own the relationship).
