Personally I’ve preferred bounties because I don’t have to pretend i like you or your app. But i like that you have an issue and are willing to pay for it. So merge PR, pay me and I’ll be on my way .
The first person I worked with on GitHub was just looking for somebody that could deliver results and they underpay them. Slave master type shit, bro had me writing python scripts for $3.5 an hour … but i think i complained and got my raise bumped to $5 an hour.
2 years ago my github didn’t have one contribution. I didn’t know how I’ll start getting gigs with an empty git hub. i had like 4 basic personal repositories. All i had was my networking skills beloved!
I don’t lose sleep over what could have been. If you check my github you shall see I’ve work with people who could give me a real job. But god knows what their problem is- probably control. Nobody is hiring a lose canon
my laptop 💻 is a nuisance. 🗑️ I have just vs code and one browser open with one tab . but it sounds like a fuckin AntMiner out here . i'm not spending 30minutes on it to do something I should do in 5 on a better PC. tbh. nobody is compensating me for my TIME!!!
