NVK deleting tweets is another reason why we need the nostr protocol more than ever. Actively trying to be unaccountable is sketchy, smarmy, smegmatic behavior. Now people can see what he really is, but, consider this: People digging up reddit posts and old tweets are showing you what most have ignored for years. He's a narcissistic douchebag who is not content to fight things out in a free market and the market of ideas. He's bent on controlling the narrative and trying to use the very modes of oppression many of us are trying to escape to silence and squash dissent and competition. Now, if you can finally see what some of us have seen for years, you must start looking at those with whom he is closely allied and associated with. I don't tolerate anyone with those qualities in my presence. Would you go into business with that kind of person? Would you spend hours talking to him? If the answer is no, then, should you not question the character of those who do and have and may yet continue to do so? There is no excuse for any of this. Doubly so since he's mocked and derided and coerced others to do his bidding. And those around him have either been silent or defended him and his actions. No more. No quarter. Bring everything into the light. Burn away all falsehood.

I'm not on the twatter. Has anyone thought to check if OpenSats and the board members have been deleting tweets? Scrubbing websites? Trying to delete nostr events?

Why has OpenSats not actively moved to remove NVK? His recent activity and reaction to this terrible situation shows a lack of character and that he should not be trusted. If OpenSats does not move to remove him, that implies, IMO, that they condone the avoidance of accountability. (That has been obvious to me for years at this point... But I digress.) Remove NVK. It's a simple, corrective measure that needs to occur.

This is the kind of smarmy stuff that NVK can and should be criticised for. This is the exact kind of behavior that points towards a sense of "I don't deserve to be held accountable" that only the more hubristic and prideful people have. Excoriate him for that. View quoted note →
