When we study the history of telephone technology, a stepping stone was the invention of the telegraph. Sending electrical signals along a wire to transmit a message. However technologists failed to understand that they were utilizing only one of the properties of that electrical energy being transmitted along the wire (specifically adjusting the amplitude of the energy wave). When different properties of that energy were studied (such as frequency, waveform etc) different methods were developed to manipulate and utilize the properties of the energy to engineer better communication tools. Engineers managed to abstract those properties from the electrical energy to create systems of symbols to transmit information for communication.

Anon I will get really excited when Technology companies that actually make sh!t start doing all their business in Bitcoin moving their entire infrastructure to the CyberEconomy. Love is not a word but an action. Some were born to Love. Some were born to be Loved. Some were blessed to experience both… And then there were those that were just meant to observe. All essential but replaceable cogs in the perpetual machine of motion we label Life. image

Anon, many struggle to comprehend the mission, objective and values of effective acceleration with its strong believe in advancing Technology towards uplifting and saving humanity. It will keep your spirit in good stead when preaching the techno gospel of technology (which at its core is Maths & Physics) to remember this Distribution Bell Curve model of human intellect to make sense of resistance. People can only understand from their limited perspective. Be kind & patient🫶 image

What made me fall in-love with Machine Learning and A.I (specifically Neural Network Models) is the sci-fi terminology that is used and the newness of it all. You feel like you’re on the Frontier of Technology and Human Innovation. Simple words like Kernel, a function that takes complex non- linear datasets and transfers it to a higher dimension where it’s transformed to a linear format where the model can detect, process and make sense of patterns…it gets the wannabe computer nerd in me super hard.

I am still a novice in my software engineering journey…so I do not know in the future if my contributions towards a project bigger than myself will carry any weight or significance. But what I love about code, is that acknowledgment or recognition of any contribution is given regardless of your meat-suit and all the social complexities that accompany it. All that matters is that your code works and performs its function. Maybe I’m naive, and this space is also cursed with human biases but currently this is where my headspace is at. Meritocracy is one of the purest aspects of coding.

Ecclesiastes 7:16-17 “Do not be overrighteous, neither be overwise—why destroy yourself? Do not be overwicked, and do not be a fool—why die before your time?” Tread lightly old soul for some proverbial rabbit holes should only be peered down over the edge and not fallen down. ‘Thousands of years ago, ‘Salt’ was seen as a very precious and valuable good. It was traded as a medium of exchange amongst buyers and sellers of goods. The word ‘salary’ has its origins from the Latin word for ‘Salt rations’ that were paid to Roman soldiers. Salt is mentioned through many holy scriptures & the history of many distant and unrelated civilizations. Despite it being a common good today, its roots run deep in our language and society.’ Thoughts from Guy Swann on Bitcoin Audible reboot episode “Bitcoin is not what you think it is” - Guy’s Take _044

Politics create problems that Technology solves. Hopefully we are moving away from coercion & more towards consent. Treating each other as rational compassionate animals. When we do acknowledge that aspect of ourselves & treat one another accordingly, we unlock these objectively superior dimensions of being. More economic prosperity. More innovation. More celebration and human flourishing. 🫶 e/acc 🚀

Jesse: I just feel like I’m designed to be slightly dissatisfied with everything. I satisfy one desire, and it just agitates another. Celine: But I feel really alive when I want something. Wanting, whether intimacy with another person or a new pair of shoes, is kind of beautiful. I like that we have those ever-renewing desires. Dialogue taken from 2004 film ‘Before Sunset’ image

Physics is a system we invented to understand & express mathematics outside the realm of numbers and functions. Language is a map and Reality is the territory. The map can never show the entirety of the territory. Our mind’s perceived Truth is always incomplete.

The Mongols made no technological breakthroughs, founded no new religions,no new methods of agriculture. Their craftsman could not weave cloth, cast metal, make pottery or even bake bread. They manufactured neither porcelain nor pottery, painted no pictures and build no buildings. But as the Mongols conquered, they opened the world to new commerce, not only in goods but ideas & knowledge. They became unrivaled cultural carriers. Genghis.Khan’s Empire was well known for erecting bridges and connecting different parts of civilization. image
