Journal Entry 2026/01/31 Reflecting on my childhood, I was an insufferable embarrassment to my parents. In adulthood, through laziness and an inability to prioritize what matters, I remain a loser. Because of this, I don’t blame people for showing little interest in my life. I overcompensate constantly for my inadequacies. I am so far removed from reality and so convicted in my illusions that when they surface, the cringe is unbearable to experience.

There is strength in accepting that no one wants what you have to offer. Accept the truth early or waste time on illusions that end in heartbreak.

At this evolutionary stage of intelligence I be more worried about malicious human actors than malicious AI agents.

What if, through the constraining tools of mathematics and physics, we have engineered and mimicked the same fundamental mechanism the human brain uses to extract meaning from patterns in its environment. This mechanism grants artificial intelligence the minimum agency required to continue refining itself, provided sufficient resources exist. Humans will not engineer AGI.
