“Volatility is not fragility. Volatility is visible movement. Fragility is the inability to survive movement. A system can move violently and remain incredibly strong. Another can appear perfectly calm while becoming easier and easier to break. Volatility is simply information made visible.” @jack mallers

‘Modern society has become addicted to the edited version of reality. Processed food, photoshopped bodies, curated social media lives and surfaces optimized to appear flawless. Intervention isn’t inherently bad, but we shouldn’t mistake a polished appearance for genuine health or resilience. Systems that never experience consequences never learn how to adapt. Suppressing volatility doesn’t eliminate risk. It simply hides it.’ Thoughts inspired by a piece titled ‘The Last Honest Market’ by @jack mallers

‘Autism often brings intense focus on narrow interests, but when that focus spreads across multiple domains, it can create real depth. It touches economics, cryptography, history, philosophy, game theory, and distributed systems—all at once. Someone who can lock onto multiple interests might see how those threads weave together, recognizing not just systems but a system for human coordination without gatekeepers.‘

So much pain, for so long. The damage feels beyond repair. Yet somewhere beneath it all, my survival instinct quietly adapted. Over time, it built a coping mechanism that gradually hardened, until it calcified into acceptance of who and what I have become. image

The world keeps reinventing its tools, but not its deepest truths. If you want to understand the future, begin with the wisdom preserved in old books.

A universal, fractal truth expressed through mathematics: Markov chains suggest that the future is determined not by the entire path that brought you here, but by the state you occupy now. Life often works the same way. Your daily habits compound. Small actions, repeated consistently, quietly shape the person you will become five years from now. Once you enter a new state, the past begins to lose its power. What matters most is what you do from here. The present is the state from which every possible future unfolds. image

Typing on a keyboard to create is, in many ways, like playing the piano. The tactile interaction between your hands and the machine becomes part of the creative process itself. Voice-to-text and AI agents will undoubtedly boost productivity, but I don’t believe they’ll replace the satisfaction and pleasure of physically creating with your own hands. Efficiency is valuable, but the experience of creation is beautiful. The human spirit has always been drawn to beauty, not just in what we create, but in the act of creating itself.

Gratitude is free. It is one of the few gifts that requires nothing except the decision to notice it. Anything that pulls attention away from that noticing is working against one of the simplest and most durable forms of freedom. 🙏

Study mathematics, physics, philosophy, history, technology, and religion. With God’s blessing, you will develop the intellectual capacity to better comprehend many truths. One of those truths is that peace, though deeply desired is extraordinarily expensive. Those who fail to acknowledge this are either deceived, dangerously naïve or acting in bad faith.

Broken algorithms can mean many things. Debugging begins with hypotheses, but it ends with verification. Failures are corrected through evidence, not vibes. An algorithm either works as intended, or it doesn’t.
