My background is in communications and telecommunications engineering. One topic that has fascinated me for years is the evolution of communication technology. Looking back, every generation of communication has been trying to solve the same fundamental problem: reducing the constraints of time and distance in the exchange of information. As a result, information has become faster to transmit, able to travel farther, capable of reaching more people, and significantly cheaper to move. From the telephone to the Internet, from broadband to high-speed networks, our world has become increasingly connected. Today, people on opposite sides of the globe can collaborate with almost no practical limitations. Geographic boundaries matter far less than they once did because connectivity allows people to share knowledge, skills, and opportunities from virtually anywhere in the world. As communication technology advanced, so did the digital world. Cloud computing, Digital Twins, and Virtual Environments have made it possible for work to happen without everyone being in the same physical location. Yet despite this digital transformation, the primary creators of economic value have always remained human. What has captured my attention over the past few months is the emergence of AI Agents. For the first time, the creators of value may no longer be limited to humans. AI is evolving beyond answering questions or writing code. It is becoming capable of accepting tasks, making plans, coordinating with other systems, and delivering outcomes that have genuine economic value. If AI Agents eventually become major participants in the economy—creating value and transacting with one another—the interesting question is no longer simply how intelligent AI will become. The real question is: what form of money or digital currency is best suited for a world where humans are no longer the only creators of value? I don't yet have a definitive answer as to whether Bitcoin, stablecoins, CBDCs, or some future technology will ultimately be the best fit. However, I believe Bitcoin possesses several unique properties that make it a compelling candidate and perhaps one of the answers to this question. This year, I've been invited to speak on the Main Stage at Bitcoin Thailand Conference 2026 in a session titled "Giving AI a Wallet: The Reality of Machine Money." Join me as we explore why Bitcoin may be one of the most compelling candidates for the world of AI Agents and the emerging Machine Economy—and why its unique properties could make it particularly well suited for the economy of the future. #siamstr
