Finally deployed my own nosotros.app instance from @Cesar Dias... feelsgoodman. ๐Ÿ˜ป One thing I've always loved about nosotros is the Deck UI. It's also fairly snappy and seems to run well both on desktop and as a PWA on mobile. Of course, it supports bunker login too! ๐Ÿ”ฅ Overall it's not as "heavy" as jumble, so it doesn't support some extended features like post preview, custom emoji packs, or relay sets in the main feed. But that's likely why it feels slightly lighter and quicker. Cesar's always been great with taking feedback and Q&A, which is another reason I like nosotros. Feels great to host your own clients, as always I highly recommend it for anyone who is capable of setting it up!

A great take, and it does explain why I feel somewhat out of place here. Generally though, I have a great time, people are mostly friendly and I have made some great connections. While I diverge in my beliefs with many of you, I'm a decentralist at heart and that brings us together. :MEOWDY: View quoted note โ†’

Maybe this is asking too much of @Jumble but @Cody I would love a way we could have trust filters PER FEED. For example, if I have a relay group, I could set this one WoT. Then for my own relay, I could set it off. etc. This way, depending on our relay sources, we have varying levels of trust filters that can persist. Currently I find myself toggling it based on which feed I'm viewing. I can understand if this makes the interface too complex though. In my mind I guess there'd be an option to check for this capability, otherwise by default it just applies to all feeds.

I'm one of those nosey fuckers that just loves to lurk and read the drama threads. And boy, there's a few bangers tonight on nostr. :fire: :meow_wave_peak:

Really happy to see the "live feed" feature released for @Cody's @Jumble client in recent days! (The green flashing radar at the top of feeds) Also glad it doesn't forcefully jump my cursor position when new posts come in live ๐Ÿ˜น Jumble is great, been using it on desktop, as well as mobile as a PWA. Installing my own instance has been a game changer. image

It's funny because many mobile phones nowadays can compute more than an rpi. Also because there are so many SOC devices out there, listing just one brand just seems so odd. Make it make sense. ๐Ÿคท View quoted note โ†’

Tried an interesting new combination this weekend, smoked salmon and avocado on a waffle, with hollandaise sauce. The sweetness of the waffle is a really nice twist on the flavour. #foodstr image

I've been helping to test @Signet from @Geektoshi in the past few days, it's a fork and significant improvement on `nsecbunkerd`. It lets you host your own bunker services for signing nostr events. It's a fantastic tool and well worth deploying if you are serious about using bunkers. It comes with the actual bunker daemon, a web UI and Android app. You use the web or Android app to sign events and manage keys. I currently use both methods: on desktop I'll use the website, on mobile the Android app. I'm trying to use it as a full replacement for all signing purposes, however it's a shame not all sites and clients support bunkers, NIP-55 (such as via Amber) seems more common right now. I hope that changes, but I've heard Geek may be integrating NIP-55 support in the interim. It's a fantastic tool! I've reported quite a few issues which were promptly resolved, as well as improvements which are working their way into Signet. Feels great to have a responsive dev actively looking to improve the bunker ecosystem. image

Just a friendly reminder for those seeking a reliable #nostr #relay: I host the superfriends public relay, which is located in a datacentre with pretty beefy hardware. wss://nostr.superfriends.online You can also access it via Tor onion services: ๐Ÿง… ws://sprfrnsx2nhyc6mkkb4hi2hauq7kd3ckudkj3v7djbw4wopqfcotw4id.onion I started hosting it in 2023, but left nostr until last year, when I brought it back up, migrated from nostr-rs-relay to strfry, relocated it, and significantly increased the hardware and bandwidth resources. It has 24/7 uptime, and generally performs very well. superfriends is listed on @Cody's awesome-nostr-relays repo where various clients can pick up on it. Anyone is welcome to use it and I won't enforce WoT scores as it can be challenging for new users to break through that barrier, however scammers & spammers will be blocked. Have fun! :MEOWDY: image

Hey @Geektoshi, so been kicking the tires with @Signet (finally!) I have to say it's fantastic. I thought I'd have an open discussion with you here before opening any tickets as I think there are more feedback/suggestion type things rather than bug reports/issues... 1. For some reason, I had to restart the daemon in order to get it "flowing" again earlier. So sites signed me out, and wouldn't log me back in. I restarted the daemon only, and they logged me back in. Unfortunately I don't have any logs around that for further details. 2. There's no "always sign this type" box in signet-ui as there is on Android. I have a related issue where ticking "always" shows an error on Android, I'll open a ticket for that. 3. It would be great if the activity log could be a bit more granular. For example I could click into it to see what actually happened/raw JSON. Not sure how feasible that is to log it all though. 4. Signing stuff, would be nice if you showed the set friendly name, not just the npub: image 5. I think for "production" usage, there will need to be documentation for things like systemd scripts to get everything running and persisting across reboots. I'm happy to craft my own, but I think the current docs are very much in the spirit of "leave these running in a tmux terminal" rather than doing things like `2>&1` and exporting all output to log files/syslog, etc. I'm worried that should my server hosting signet reboot, I'd be dead in the water until I can SSH back in and start up both services. Overall, Signet is pretty awesome, and I'm going to try to use it as my only signer for both desktop and mobile! Well done! :MEOWDY:

Congrats! New website is looking great. Hard to fit in everything Amethyst can do, it's a fantastic client and the new website does it justice. View quoted note โ†’
