That Communism. So Hot Right Now

I really don't understand bitcoiners who aren't interested in Nostr.
I get that not everyone is trying to build an audience, and that money is a more pressing thing to be an early adopter for, but the "Why would I need Nostr? I'm perfectly comfortable with X" narrative sounds like a no-coiner justifying their 0% bitcoin exposure.
It especially hits weird from bitcoin content creators, when it's clear that the hardcore, motivated bitcoiners are moving towards Nostr and not going back. Nostr is the clear and obvious future forum of bitcoin discussion, and you're just ignoring it?
Am I too deep in the weeds here? It seems so obvious to me. Do they really just not see it?
SOAK QUEST Phase 2 is here.
Our mission is simple: Build the Bitcoin Circular Economy.
We're talking to Bitcoiner founders who make incredible products, but haven't seen first-hand how powerful speaking to Bitcoiners can be for their business.
The idea is straightforward. Get Bitcoiners connected with the best Bitcoin companies out there. Build that momentum until it is so obvious that every business needs to become bitcoin forward or die.
New episodes drop every Sunday. Let's Soak.

The urgency to adopt Nostr is relaxed compared to Bitcoin.
Nostr is earlier on its path and Bitcoin is an end in itself, while Nostr is a means to that end. However, if you are trying to build an audience for yourself or a business, the opportunity is massive.
Being a first mover has always been an advantage on new social platforms. If you were early to Instagram, you had fewer photographers to compete with than you do now. Being early to TikTok and making a single viral video changed people's lives.
But, for every successful new platform, there were many failures. If you built a following on Myspace or Vine, you better have connected with your followers somewhere else. If you didn't, all you were left with when those platforms died, was some good, old-fashioned character building.
The beauty of Nostr is that every kind of social media will eventually come there. Like iterations, most will fail, but this time you don't lose your connections when they do. The barrier and risk to trying new things is minimal.
Building a following on Nostr is the only way to have an owned social audience. It is the only audience that is completely portable. You don't need to fight for the same handle across apps. You don't need to convince people to follow you in ten different places. At scale, your Nostr followers follow you once and enjoy your content in whatever format they prefer.
Being early on Nostr is being early to every future app built on the protocol. Instead of getting a head start on one platform, you're getting a head start on all of them.
The opportunity is enormous.

Email has been a businesses' only true owned internet channel.
It worked for a long time, but now everyone has an inbox that looks like a landfill. You have to be exceptional to get opened consistently.
Then you hit the bigger problem. How do you even build an email list without relying on another platform you do not control? You need ads or a big social account just to get people onto the list you supposedly own.
Nostr changes that dynamic.
Nostr feels like social media and email had a kid. It is the best of both worlds. You get the reach and scalability of a social network and the permanence and ownership of an email list.
No one can ban you and you do not have to sacrifice anything for that except being early...for now.
For the first time, you can build an audience that grows like a social feed and belongs to you like an inbox. A real owned channel that can scale on its own.
For the first time, you can have your cake and eat it too.
