i find it odd to *log in* using someone else's npub. it feels intrusive in some weird way.
do people regularly do this? #asknostr

the _primal lifestyle_ in the 20th century sounds cringe to me. ten foot pole vibes.
today, i joined the @Raxva 🪽 land gang.
back in the day, kings could just tell people that god appointed them to do their divine duty and rule an empire for however long they want.

i don't understand how eric weinstein acquired the label of a contemporary intellectual. a quick search suggests he's considered a genius. i listened to an interview where he presented his centralized ideas on resolving online anonymous trolling, ideas he struggled to explain or articulate clearly.
it's evident he's been deeply burnt by trolls, but even with his intelligence, does he genuinely believe a piece of software or a set of code can fundamentally alter human nature?
often intellectuals are hyper-focused on a single subject, lacking the understanding and application of humanity's best and worst aspects within their work. if anything, big tech has consistently been exploitative.
i don't know how long i have to be on nostr to no longer say that i'm new here. as i'm typing this, i realized that it's when predictive text and autocorrect no longer corrects nostr to nostril.
realistically, a month of daily use is enough to say i've been here long enough. less? idk.
we are dystopian moving to a cryptopian world.

this book from 1981 has an interesting take on our current reality from a french philosopher who predicted social media and fake news many decades before the internet existed.

for christmas, i got my dad a new swarovski scope for christmas and i have used it more than he has to watch wolf packs socializing in the property.
i have a friend who constantly posts breaking news from x that are too sensational to be true.
i woke up to news that putin's limo exploded. my first instinct was to think it is already fake before even watching the video.
it shows a parked car that looks like a limo that's burning on a street. that's it a most wanted man with robust security will not park on a random street in moscow at night. if it is even in moscow.
they are tying this back to the time when zelensky said putin is going to die soon and some big name large following x users are spreading it.
the machine is working as per usual.

ever since i watched this silly movie in my teens, i decided i needed a handle.
as a result, i rarely use my full name or often my real identity to sign up for anything online.

speaking of cool
a couple of months ago, i watched three wolves hunt a bull elk in the _backyard_.
i do not wish to be cool enough to be included in a hellthread.
i am not cool. i have never been cool. i don't want to be cool.
