I do hope that Nostr grows for other peoples sake but I’m content here in my niche follows bubble.
Can’t say it’s a echo chamber because shit posts are about the only thing agreed upon in this slice of reality over here.

I’m not the smartest guy in the room so while I’m working on my project I am trying to keep in mind how to intuitively grasp some concepts.
This brought me back to how much I didn’t understand about Bitcoin. Not to proud to admit the following:
- I thought confirmations were nodes individually OKing your transaction. I thought 6 of them were “safe”
- I had no idea what mining a block was.
- My first on-chain transaction scared the shit out of me.
- I originally thought the “Bitcoins” were stored IN the wallet file
- Forget even understanding lightning payment channels
Then I learned.
There is definitely something exciting about starting a new project and trying to build something.
Back in 2006 I made a little game lobby for direct play games so people could play LAN games over the Internet with something open source. I had the best time building it and learning.
Doing something similar now but a 2 year old forces low time preference. I might get a few code tasks complete.
Still worth it even if little pans out of it.
