Boltz is a non-custodial Bitcoin bridge built to swap between different Bitcoin layers while staying in full control. Support: https://support.boltz.exchange/hc/center
Network fees for Rootstock -> Lightning swaps just dropped by 50%. Before: 162 sats, Now: 81 sats 🫰 Spontaneous #Lightning payments with your RBTC balance just got even more accessible 🧑 Wen integration to allow your users to spend #Bitcoin on the go? @beexowallet @Rabby_io @EdgeWallet image ELI5 of how we did this: we extended our Rootstock swap contract to allow us to claim Rootstock swaps in batches. The more swaps happen in a given time frame, the cheaper it gets. If Rootstock swap volume continues to grow, network fees may drop even more.
We just released Boltz Web App v1.6.0 πŸ”₯ Highlights: * add WalletConnect * show error when QR scanning is not supported * update RBTC swap contracts * fix refund file download for non RBTC pairs in Brave For the full rundown check the release notes:
Today, we are launching Rootstock Chain Swaps, completing the fundamentals of our @Rootstock integration 🫑 In addition to #Lightning, users can now swap the following pairs in an easy, non-custodial manner: RBTC <> BTC RBTC <> L-BTC This dramatically lowers the entry barrier to the Rootstock ecosystem and we are already excited what other use cases will be built with the primitive πŸ”₯ For some ideas read our initial launch blog post: image
Announcement: Today we are making Boltz user support safer! πŸ›‘οΈ Due to the dramatic increase of scammers, trying to extract mnemonics from our users via DM, we are discontinuing support via DM on all platforms. While we are keeping channels like Discord and Telegram for public discussions, everything that needs private communication, like inquiring about details of a swap, will only be processed using one of the following two communication channels: 1. Via support chat at boltz.exchange 2. Via email to hi@bol.tz This concretely means that if someone tries to make you communicate via any other communication channel, IT'S A SCAM! ⚠️ Your Boltz User Support Squad 🧑
This week we pushed out releases with some cool new features: Here is the tl;dr πŸ‘‡ * 0-amount chain swaps: you can now create chain-to-chain swaps completely without specifying an amount OR when you accidentally sent a different amount from what you specified before, you can now simply accept a new quote instead of having the swap fail πŸ‘Š * Proof of Payment: there are dispute situations where you'd like to prove to the receiver that your Lightning payment was successful. Luckily, Lightning has a cryptographic Proof of Payment system built in! BUT, so far it hasn't been used widely as there is simply no practicable way to do so. We are trying to change this, by linking successful Boltz Lightning payments to an external neutral tool that does a very simple cryptogrpahic check and verifies that a payment's so-called "preimage", which is released only when a Lightning payment is successful, matches a given invoice. This amazing tool was built by Roy from @Breez ⚑️, we encourage others to check it out: πŸ‘‰ validate-payment.com πŸ‘ˆ * add chatwoot support chat integration: our web app now features a live-chat integration for help/customer support πŸ’¬ The releases that enabled these features: * *
Apart from Bolt12, one more feature of this week's release deserves to be highlighted: πŸ‘‰ "Any amount chain swaps" πŸ‘ˆ What this means is: you can now send any amount into a chain swap and as long as it's within our min/max range, Boltz will process the swap. This is nice for flexibility (just send vs. decide how much first) but also fixes a major UX issue of boltz.exchange users: - if you accidentally sent too little: your swap still processes with the actually sent amount (instead of failing) and - if you accidentally sent too much: your swap processes with the sent amount (instead of you losing out on the overpaid amount) Two of the most common reasons for failed swaps and support tickets πŸ€“ DISCLAIMER: only works for chain swaps, not for swaps with Lightning involved Also, we just pushed out a new Boltz Client release implementing Bolt12 and any amount chain swaps.
We just shipped a little something: Bolt12 Swaps 🫑 image Powered by our new backend release v3.8.0 "An offer you can't refuse": Highlights: - Swap-to-Bolt12 powered by CLN's "pay" - New CLN hold plugin (rewrite in Rust) - Chain swaps with any amount (within our min/max) For the full rundown check: And powered by our new web app release v1.5.0 Highlights: - Bolt12 support for Submarine Swaps - BIP-353 DNS lookup (incl. DNSSEC) - Added BancoLibre and StashPay to integrations, welcome πŸ™Œ For the full rundown check the release notes: That's it for today, now we may all go and follow the election of our world's new overlord 😏
We just released Boltz Client v2.1.7 "Readonly" πŸ‘€ Highlights: * allow readonly wallets for receiving and chain swap destinations * custom reverse swap invoice expiry * lnd: allow macaroon to be encoded in hex For the full rundown check the release notes:
