Oh… my… lanta… just found the next president and vice president of the US. This is the single most honest conversation I’ve ever heard in a congressional hearing and it completely shutdown any silly rebuttals. And then it goes a step further and shows how in reality what some would call conservative consumerism also helps lift poor and underserved communities. I grew up in an area much like this scenario and I can say first hand. When you take out politics and true Americans have to live and work side by side to survive, the color of your skin is the least thing anyone is thinking about. I’ve seen racism magnitudes worse in Northern and western states than I have in the “Deep South redneck” state I grew up in. Regardless of political affiliation, listen to these words and realize the truth behind them and how we’ve got to be honest with ourselves if we really want anything to ever change.

I’ll say Happy Father’s Day, but it should be Happy Dad’s Day. Anyone can be a father, but it takes a man (and sometimes a strong single woman) to truly be a good Dad. This life ain’t easy and you’re going to screw up, but anyone who tells you otherwise is lying.
