City residents in Berkeley started installing benches at bus stops because the government is too incompetent. Government then tries to discourage it saying the benches could be unsafe, and asking people to use official channels to request benches. People tried the supposed official channel and got referred to another channel that didn't work. Yet another datapoint that we usually don't need government, and all they really do is waste taxpayer money on bureaucracy.

This means they have an incentive to rather direct people to a product they will stay in and not shift around to shitcoin ETFs. Blockchain spam causes other participants to up their transaction fees, so the overall fees mined is more than just the spammers' contribution. This means spammers get some leverage AND if they're the same entity as the miners, then possibly it's a net gain from wasting sats on spamming.
