Other observations: I drove to Vegas so I stopped at a Steak n Shake location twice. Going to Vegas and going home. This location didn’t have the self service option so your order was taken at the register. I asked the employees what they thought of the new form of payment and just what they thought about it in general cuz I was curious. They seemed generally pleased about it and said it was super simple. One lady was enthusiastic and said, “yeah I get to play with bitcoins!” lol

This was my first year at the conference and I’m not sure if there will be a second. I think what saved the event for me was watching the other talks in the other stages and picking and choosing the speakers I wanted to hear from. I barely got a chance to actually look at stuff at the booths etc. I would say the Genesis and Open Source Stages were my frequent areas. & then I picked and chose different topics in the main stage. I enjoyed spending my Bitcoin and using the lightening network. This sounds bizarre and nerdy but it was such a nice experience to not have to wait that 5 -8 seconds for my debit card payment to complete. I also got a fuzzy Bitcoin plushie 🤣 I think overall, I might be more suited for more local or smaller events.

I understand the sentiment and concern about heavy “suit” influence. Perhaps, maybe, it just takes one person in the crowd to represent the people with this frustration.

Personal main lesson/takeaway from the conference: Support and fund and send alll the good vibes and love to all the developers of Bitcoin, old and new, because none of this would exist.

This gurrrrrl (Kitty, white cat, Flamepoint kitty, Cindy) is 17 years old!!! She’s extremely chatty, has always been a little muscular, and kinda… catty. We love her though. Sora would have also been 17 too. She misses Sora everyday. & it’s gonna be my first time away from her for a few days. I always think it’s such a funny thing that both siblings arrived to us during Gemini season.
