Lifestyle gurus constantly push fad diets, supplements, and exercise regimens for longevity, but I rarely ever hear them talk about building community with other people as a way to promote wellness even though there’s research showing loneliness/social isolation can increase the risk of premature death or other conditions such as dementia.
Therapy is important, but many clients have misconceptions about the process, and some of these misconceptions are perpetuated by providers. This is an interesting article examining the role of therapy in client’s lives.
I just learned that schools now have Esports teams where kids compete against other schools playing video games. Why is this a thing? If I was a parent, I would oppose school resources and time being wasted on this, but I could be wrong and biased since I hate video games.
