I write a lot as part of my job. I have contributed to several books, written some professional articles and therefore used written language quite a lot. But in the last few weeks something new has come along... Let me explain: I am in a team of Damus translators, and the discussions in the team are very enriching for me. I haven't dealt so intensively with the intricacies of language, individual words, their meanings, and nuances since my school days. It's really fun. Language is a gift that allows us to express our thoughts, feelings, and ideas with others. It enables us to communicate, connect, and collaborate with people from different cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives. The power of language lies not only in its ability to convey information but also in its capacity to shape our thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Whether we use language to write, speak, or translate, it allows us to explore the world, challenge our assumptions, and learn from others. Through language, we can express our creativity, connect with others, and make a difference in the world. Thanks to #[1] who started everything, thanks to my fellow German translators #[3] & #[2] and of course all the other team members for other languages! Just had an intense discussion about some Damus translations (to German) with #[1] & #[2]. I was not aware how complicated language can be. BTW, this is a test note, because our translation was actually about the string "someone reacted to a post you were tagged in". So could someone react to this post, please? Thank you!

Damus account deletion seems to cause confusion to some. I checked what it actually does and think, there might be ways to improve on this feature. The most simple would be to just describe better what is actually happening when you type this frightening "DELETE" word. 😱 But there is more... Issue on github:
