Filter the noise and get just the Bitcoin signal at The HODL Report
When Bitcoin cash launched its exchange value was roughly 8.8% of what Bitcoin was worth.
When btc2b launched and was listed it's value was roughly 0.11% that of bitcoins.
Incredible.

I've received some emails detailing scams around "claiming" BIP 110/blake2b coins.
Don't put any of your information into sites that talk about how to claim these as air drops or anything like that.
Utxos sets at the time of the fork are the same so you already own the altcoin if you owned Bitcoin in self custody.
Taking ownership of that does require you to know what you are doing, and if you don't know what you're doing, doing nothing right now is the right move.
Here is a video I made of how to take ownership of your ecash but the same principles largely apply to blakecoin.
Careful out there. The devs of this coin don't seem to care that they created a ripe environment for scamming, so be cautious.
How it started vs how it ended.

Ordered an old Thinkpad laptop, Will be flashing linux on it, installing a few pieces of Bitcoin software and showing people via tutorial videos how to use it as an Air gapped signing device.
If Bitcoin went to $1m tomorrow, how confident would you be with your self custody setup?
Build a robust setup today for all future scenarios.
Things I plan to spend less time and energy on from here on out.
Discussing
Failed low support forks.
Unpopular and not happening tail emissions.
Unsubstantiated claims of unnecessary back room talks between pools.
These things are entertaining. But our energy feeds them.
BIP 110 watch party!
We will watch the two different node implementations at the time of activation. Will be joined on the livestream by a bunch of great bitcoiners.
But the bell and tune in.

The Jade has a very unique offline way of using dice rolls to generate a seedphrase.
Here's a video tutorial I made on the process.
Lots of people moving Bitcoin.
BE CAREFUL!
I just did a call with someone and they were moving to a Jade, and they downloaded a fake Jade app on their computer. Luckily they thought something was off, called me, I confirmed that it wasn't the official one, and we did it properly
Reports of entropy being as low as 32 bits (1 second to hack) for mk4/mk5/Q. Coinkite says as low as 72 bits (1500 years to hack)
Personally I don't trust what coinkite says right now and would move my Bitcoin to a secure setup. Especially if you have no additional passphrase.
It looks like this mk3 hack is happening because of insufficient randomness using the device itself. Unless you add your own entropy you will be subjected to some level of trust in their rng devices.
Here's how to dice rolls your seedphrase.
A small stop gap recommend for those affected by the mk3 hack is to move from a seedphrase only wallet to a passphrase wallet. This is only a solution if you don't have another hardware wallet, and should only be seen as secure as the passphrase you correct. Video how to below.
I'll be doing a Live BIP activation watch party on my youtube channel on the 8th.
What Bitcoiners would you like to see join me on there?
I'm part of two Bitcoin communities and I provide access to a node for members to connect to who aren't running their own node yet.
One is Bitcoin core, and one is Bitcoin knots signaling for BIP 110, and they can decide whichever they prefer to use.

The easiest way to make money in Bitcoin continues to be to trick plebs.
Use this as a cautious lens when you are new to or under educated in a realm of Bitcoin and it will help you protect yourself.
Hot take.
When a bitcoin implementation changed the default policy in a way you didn't like.
Switching to and supporting an implementation with different defaults was an adequate response.
Bitcoin isn't about being right in the short term, it's about being right in the long term.
How valuable it is to have money that is not within the current financial system?
Bitcoin moves violently when it moves, and then it trades sideways for longer than the bears like and longer than the bulls like.
