It’s funny and I agree with the sentiment WRT NPR. But how many millions did the US government pay Twitter, and Facebook, and Google to help them censor and monitor US citizens? Let’s just put that label on all the traditional media and big tech companies. Better yet, quit taking my money to give to all these corrupt bastards. image
Me when Bitcoin hits $38K again. My current basis is below this now, but it doesn’t matter. I know myself well enough to know I’m going to be celebrating at $38K regardless. I mentally went all in 1H21 and $38K is where that averaged so it will always be meaningful to me.
So if it turns out that too many people try to withdraw ETH and dump it, how long before they do another hard fork to throttle their withdrawal queue even more? Looks like the current limit at current prices is somewhere around 1% of the typical daily volume. It’s probably going to be much more orderly than I wish and they’ll probably have plenty of time to hard fork and limit things even more if things seem like they are going against them.
Hilarious, mETH withdrawals are throttled and queued. It’s going to be interesting to see how long it takes to drain that queue.
I don’t waste time trying to orange pill friends and loved ones. I mention it and drop it. If we are discussing a subject that I think Bitcoin is perfectly positioned to help solve in the near term, I will once again mention something like “this is why I own Bitcoin” and drop it. If someone wants to dig, they will. They never do. But I am stacking plenty so I’ll feel free to let go of a huge chunk of my stack at a deep discount when the time comes. I want to be positioned so I can help give birth to a circular economy as quickly as possible in my sphere of influence and I’ll start with the people I’m closest to first and I’ll encourage them to pay it forward too. Bitcoin Beach is a good example of how quickly a few generous people can spread the love and how big an impact that can have when the time is right.
Taiwanese Air Force patches, apparently. If memes could win dogfights, they’d be in pretty good shape. image
Anyone get the feeling we’re not far from another CIA sponsored Kennedy assassination plot?
Bud Light tastes like horse piss and they hired her to market it. It’s starting to make more sense now. image
The Substack model is inferior to Nostr’s value4value model. I’m always turned off by their insistence that I subscribe before I can finish reading something I’m interested in. I’d happily zap it after reading it, but I won’t bother giving yet another site my email address.
The Apple Watch is the thing that convinced me to get my first mechanical automatic watch. Having the time on your wrist is in fact useful, but needing to charge that mofo every day for an hour is pure insanity. Not to even mention the privacy considerations etc. Having a tiny work of art machine on my wrist that powers itself from the movement of my arm and can track the time, the date, the day of the week, the month, and is also a chronograph feels like magic. I bought my new son in law this watch as a wedding gift because he’s in the military and he’ll be able to track home time along with his local time while deployed, and it matches his uniform. Plus, it will last his entire life as his marriage should. image
Not very clever people who grew up in a world of screens don’t understand how reflections work. 🤣
I know a lot of younger guys in the military don’t like being thanked for their service and I get that. But if you see a Vietnam vet wearing a hat or shirt or anything else that brings attention to his service, he wants to be thanked. They were treated like shit when they got back and that is still an open wound for many of them.
The Ivies have been woke ground zero for decades. The “elites” have been compromised for a long time. The insecurity of the people who didn’t make into the Ivies, but really wanted to, is always jarring to me. Such a cult.
JRE has been dog shit for quite a while. Coincidentally, it got worse and worse the more often CIA plants started showing up as guests on a regular basis. I’m sure there is no correlation though.
