The complete lack of deference for Ursula von der Leyen and the European Commission is genius. This is the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uganda, Dzeje Odongo. If you look at Wikipedia, it says this: “On 18 February 2022 he participated in the European Union - African Union Summit in Brussels. A controversy arose when he greeted President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, only after an intervention by Emmanuel Macron, which was considered a misogynistic attitude.” This was after “Sofagate” in Turkey and before her recent treatment in China. The western propaganda outlets desperately want you to believe she’s being mistreated because she’s a woman. Forbes has even claimed she is the most powerful woman in the world (after placing her well behind even Kamala Harris multiple times 🤣). The reality is she’s the unelected leader of an impotent criminal organization and anyone holding that office should be treated like the used toilet paper they are. I hope this trend continues.
I wonder if this sort of thing will still happen on promoted Tweets 6 months from now. You have to imagine the person responsible for the Samsung social media ad budget won’t be happy to see this. image
Every garbage idea will melt away eventually when required to pay fees using a money that can’t be faked. image
This is funny because it uses their dogmas against them. I personally believe a comet is responsible for the extinction of the megafauna he is referring to, and I don’t believe the Bering land bridge BS. But they would mock you for holding unscientific opinions if you questioned their preferred explanations without realizing what they are then saying. image
You are the yield. Or, in the case of Fold, you are the spins. image
Ordinals imploded under the weight of their own stupidity and the mempool cleared. Imagine that.
The UK is talking about confiscating kitchen knives. The pearl clutchers have never been very good at identifying risk. image
The Internet assumed Dave Ramsey was freaking out at the beginning of the pandemic because his cruise got canceled. But he was facing the reality that his over exposure to the real estate market was about to seriously screw him. If he was smart, he sold the high. But he’s always been a degenerate real estate investor so I seriously doubt he did. image
I see ChatGPT as a 10x Google. It understands context much better than Google (or other search engines) and can give you pointers to that context that would take you much longer to find digging through search engine results. Especially in the SEO spammed world we currently live in. But the writing ChatGPT produces is pretty pathetic and easy to spot in my experience. In its current state it feels like an excellent research assistant, but I’d never trust or use its output directly for anything I care about.
Yes, buy paper gold with counterparty risk. I’m sure that’s perfectly safe. I’m personally happy to see the communists in the west lose the power to cut off access to the financial system of anyone who disagrees with them. But people are going to quickly wake up to the risks of trusting the communists in the east. If only there was a bearer asset with no counterparty risk that you could purchase and transmit digitally to anywhere on the planet. That could really help reduce the risks of trading with potentially adversarial trading partners.
My dad carried one of these to work everyday when I was a kid. Thermos of coffee latched to the inside of the lid and everything. I’m surprised they still sell them.
I was about five when I convinced myself Santa was bullshit. I resented the people who kept telling me the lie too. When my kids were young I refused to perpetuate the lie. I didn’t burst their bubble early, but when they started really pushing I didn’t defend the lie. They took it very hard. I wonder how my life would have been different if the much more defensible position of the story of Saint Nicholas had been the focus and background of the gift giving tradition rather than the magic elves and reindeer. 🤔 image
So it’s not just the eyes, he’s a teeny little boy in every way. 🤣 It explains so much. image
Prompt Engineers are the funniest thing to come out of AI so far. I have a feeling they are going to be as annoying as Search Engine Optimizers have been. image
It should have been “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Property.”
There a tiny number of people on Twitter I will still engage with because they aren’t here and I miss their perspective and can’t resist. But every time I do use Twitter like that, I get more bullish on Nostr. Twitter feels like you are wading through quicksand made of raw sewage.
It’s funny and I agree with the sentiment WRT NPR. But how many millions did the US government pay Twitter, and Facebook, and Google to help them censor and monitor US citizens? Let’s just put that label on all the traditional media and big tech companies. Better yet, quit taking my money to give to all these corrupt bastards. image
