After 40 days of fasting, penance, prayer, and reflection during Lent, we now enter the 50 days of Easter: a season of joy, hope, and victory, passing through the glory of the Ascension and culminating in Pentecost. As we contemplate the mystery of the Resurrection, I’m reminded of St. Paul’s First Epistle to the Corinthians (1 Cor 5:7), echoed in the Easter sequence: Víctimæ pascháli laudes ímmolent Christiáni. Agnus rédemit oves: Christus ínnocens Patri reconciliávit peccatóres. Mors et vita duéllo conflixére mirándo: dux vitæ mórtuus regnat vivus. Dic nobis, María, quid vidísti in via? Sepúlcrum Christi vivéntis et glóriam vidi resurgéntis. Angélicos testes, sudárium et vestes. Surréxit Christus, spes mea: præcédet vos in Galilǽam.
