Made ตะโก้เผือก (Tako Pueak) last night—sweet taro pudding with creamy, salty coconut on top. I even folded a few pandan leaf cups to keep it traditional… but then the power went out 😅 Had to finish everything up in the dark, with just a few pandan boats — the rest had to be piled up. Not the prettiest batch, but they turned out delicious. #foodstr #siamstr
Fresh out of the oven and straight to the beach! Took the girls out for their walk and, as expected, they’re probably up to no good already 🫠 #foodstr #sourdough #dogstr #dog image
Had to leave the girls on their own today, so I made an emotional support snack bowl to keep them emotionally distracted 😌🐾 Layered duck feet, some meat, dragon fruit, yogurt, and a whole chicken egg inside a coconut shell—then froze the whole thing solid. Hopefully this buys me a few hours of peace on both ends 🙃 #dogstr #dog image
Meeting up with my sister today — I’m assuming she wouldn’t mind some cookies. 🍪 #foodstr image
Spending the afternoon making beef birria and tortillas. Gotta fill our bellies before the Wimbledon final as I won’t be able to eat a thing during the match. My teeth will be grinding, my stomach in knots, and my palms sweating. 😅 #foodstr
Manganese and iodine often get overlooked when it comes to our dogs’ nutrition, but they’re actually super important! Manganese helps with: • Making energy • Healing wounds • Breaking down protein • Keeping joints strong and healthy Iodine plays a big role in: • Growth • Healthy skin and coat • Weight balance • Energy and mood Too little or too much iodine can lead to things like weight gain, hair loss, weakness, or even changes in behavior — so balance is key. Before jumping into supplements, here are some whole food sources you might want to add to your next shopping list: Manganese: • Raw green tripe (unbleached) • Blue or green-lipped mussels (lightly cooked to avoid toxoplasma gondii infection) • Hemp seed hearts • Pumpkin seeds • Wheatgrass Iodine: • Seaweed like kelp, kombu, nori, or wakame Simple changes, real food, and a little extra care — that’s all it takes to help your dog stay healthy and happy. #dogstr image
These are chewy chocolate chip cookies with sea salt flakes on top. Yes, they’re absolutely delicious! #foodstr image

Months ago, I met a sweet soul who was hurt, injured, and in really bad shape. She came looking for a quiet place to heal, to hide away from the world. We started caring for her wounds, gave her food, and made a little safe corner she could call home. She was the gentlest, kindest soul. Later we learned she had lived a rough life. Someone once took her in as a puppy, but she was kicked out not long after because she couldn’t get along with the other dog in the house. Since then, she’d been living on the streets, surviving on scraps. Last night, this pure and innocent soul left us and went to puppy heaven. There’s no more pain, no more fear, no more cruel people—only peace, joy, and love. It may have been a short time we had with you, but I hope, even for a moment, you felt what it means to be loved… to have a home. See you again one day, Mardi. Rest in peace, sweet girl.
Conundrum of the day: Pepperoni or Salami? Spicy or classy? Both are great—so why choose? #foodstr
