New work in progress... first step, drawing. Translate a tridimensional model into simple lines, find every element in the canvas.

One of the goals of this paintings was to push myself, to try out new stuff and to get out of my comfort zone... that might be why I like them so much 🤍🎨

Went jogging with Siena 🐕 ... I didn't run much this past month, and I really missed it. Feels good to do it again.

MOKA POT SERIES, oil on canvas Four small-format oil paintings, made from life. They come from a simple place: to exist, to practice, to sharpen the craft. Painting from life means translating a shifting, three-dimensional reality into a two-dimensional surface. It means facing a subject that never stays still. The light changes, time moves, and you arrive differently each day, sometimes with energy, sometimes tired, sometimes focused, sometimes distracted. All of that finds its way into the painting. That constant movement, that instability, is what ultimately gives them life. These works were made with the support of my friend and amazing chilean painter Luna Morgana, who has been an important guide in my return to oil painting. Looking through a lens can help clear the noise and see things very differently. Is one of my favorite things of photography.
