GM again nostr I love you. I finished my #33pages, completing the book Influence.
The last chapter is titled "Scarcity" and lays out the various drastic ways in which people act when they believe something will not last or will be taken away. Most relevant to nostr is the way in which people act when they believe freedoms, especially those recently obtained, will be taken away.
Pundits and historians thought that when Glasnost would be rescinded by a Soviet coup, that the Russain people, cowed by centuries of oppressive governments, would acquiesce and fall back in line. But instead they lost their shit!
This resonates with my recent observations about the tightening grip on social media. Nostr doesn't have to do a whole lot except BE HERE when people lose their shit over age verification, automated suspensions, etc...perhaps, like the pundits incorrect observations about the Russian people, we don't give the normies enough credit.
