I don't get the "I guess I should have listened to you about Bitcoin" text messages. During COVID, during previous all-time highs, I basically exited all social media and blocked texts/calls from anyone who had been driven insane by our clown world urban hellscape. This was conveniently a cohort of people which had a perfect-circle-Venn-diagram overlap with anyone who thought I was a complete barking moonbat for having invested heavily in bitcoin. Then I moved away, out of said clown world urban hellscape. I wonder if they ever texted me.

I used to hang out with self identified skeptics/atheists, because I thought that rational inquiry was the way to a happier, more mentally healthy society. Except most of them were miserable and angry. Many were also self-destructive hedonists. Now I don't mind so much hanging out with the woo woos, because they seem happier and more concerned with their health (even though they overcorrect and believe weird things about what is healthy). I think there's this glitch in humans that causes them to thrive under self-imposed structure built from incredibly weird, unverifiable conclusions about how the universe works.

"I like bitcoin buy my shitcoin" 🤣 Anyone who advertises their IQ is just trying to rope a bunch of dopes into a scam. It's one of the most consistently predictable scam heuristics .
