Did you know that post-quantum signature schemes require much much more block space than regular old bitcoin signatures? The smallest BIP360 signature scheme requires 10 times more blockspace. The largest requires 65 times more. A successful post-quantum bitcoin is a permanent exile for most users to higher layers and all the trust/security/finality tradeoffs they come with. Users simply won't be able to afford the insane fees necessary transact on-chain.
