Regularly, a narrative takes hold that bitcoin is "stuck" and needs X to happen in order to create a massive wave of interest. We get X eventually, and there's no massive wave of interest. Segwit. Lightning. Taproot. Merchant point-of-sale option. Etc... Quantum resistance is the new X.

What I love most about the BIP-110 drama is how willing people are to stake their reputations on it.
