(This is a venting post, please don't tell me to "just learn it" because, I will... when I find some free time.) I was set to switch from GitHub to Codeberg, but realized there is no graphical client. I'm a hobbyist, not a full-time software dev, and yes, I use the command line every day, but 95% of my use of GitHub has been using the GUI. I was hoping for a quick & easy transition, but I'll need to set aside some time to read up on the CLI stuff now before I can start getting things there.

I had to log into Twitter/X for a work related thing and... the sheer number of advertisements interspersed in the timeline is ridiculous. It's such a stark contrast to the Fediverse. Meanwhile on Instagram (also for work) I had to delete the latest round of scammer spam messages. Blah. It's all so annoying and makes me want to help & protect the Fediverse that much more.

I was discussing trans issues with someone and they said: "But why should gender matter?" Here's the response I shared: "Gender matters because people make it matter. It's like the old "I don't see color" in regards to race... We have to, because equality does not exist yet, and people are treated differently because of their race. Likewise, people are treated differently due to the gender they are, or feel, or present as. 1/2

I still love the Anbernic RG35XX with GarlicOS but wow I find myself having to write a bunch of scripts to run on the device to fix things that go wrong... Luckily I'm getting better at writing them, so that's a nice bonus. (Shell scripts were never my strong point.) #anbernic #rg35xx #garlicOS #gameDad
