I finally got around to taking some photos of this guitar, it was an exercise in efficiency, the first guitar I used a hard wax finish on, and the first design without an angled headstock. I’m keeping this one for myself as I don’t yet have a nice lightweight stage guitar, and there are a few minor Imperfections. But I’m happy to build another for the right buyer. Bitcoin accepted! This is a prototype electric-acoustic hybrid, geared more for performance where comfort matters a little more than studio quality sound. I wanted to create a model that sounded better unplugged than most of the others available on the market, I have yet to test it against others in it’s class, but it does sound better than my Martin backpacker , so that’s a win. A fresh coat shellac on the soundboard after bridge placement, I’m planning on using osmo poly x as the finish here for a real raw natural feel, but as it’s somewhat a penetrating oil I’m sealing the top with shellac to keep from dampening the tone.
