Maybe an indirect positive of tariffs will be less consumerism? Nah, that won’t happen, we’ll find a way to fund our daily Walmart + and Amazon purchases.

I’m at a conference near a major university so I asked some students eating near me about AI. My takeaway: they’re absolutely screwed. One even admitted that investing in her degree (Advertising) was “a bit of a gamble, but figured a human would always be involved because you can’t really replace human creativity”. She graduates in 2028.

Putting aside my biblical view on marriage, strictly socially speaking it doesn’t seem there is enough appreciation for heterosexuals. Without us, none of us exist.

I’m about to hop in a Waymo. If you don’t hear from me again, the AI war has begun.

You ever walk on a plane and immediately scan the aisles and think about how this group would fare stranded on an island?

It’s kinda wild to think that there are celebrated teams of engineers and product folks at these social media companies (including this one) strategizing about how to get all of us to spend more time on their platforms despite all we know about the detrimental impacts of screen time and social media. This is what worries me about AI, not the tech itself but the abilities of individuals to make products that they know aren’t good for humans when corporate interests are prioritized. The question with AI, is will we be able to keep our team humanity hats on when each of us are having conversations in our businesses about its development and integration in our industries. This quote from Edward O. Wilson that Breedlove mentioned on his recent podcast seems pertinent: “The real problem of humanity is the following: We have Paleolithic emotions, medieval institutions and godlike technology. And it is terrifically dangerous, and it is now approaching a point of crisis overall.” While I would argue his view of God wasn't big enough, he accurately identifies the ingredients of the current conundrum.

Black Lives Matter riots have been reactivated as Tesla protests. These tactics are so basic. It almost makes you miss the really evil baddies like Henry Kissinger. As least that pedo was smart.

Anybody have a good/bad expert with the folks from The Bitcoin Way? Admitting you need help with your self custody set up feels like coming out as retarded but I figure another set of eyes could help.

I was made for this era of AI. A student in high school cause it was easy, C’s and D’s in college because there were better things to do and yet I’ve always loved to read and write. Which means, I now have in my pocket a giant computer that can do all of the stuff I’d rather not do and have the ability to manipulate it to my exact needs. That said, this period of hopeful optimism will be replaced by something darker.

I think my favorite Doge story is that the Treasury paid all invoices with zero accountability or oversight. Maybe this is how Politicians become rich…
