Q: Proof of Reserves (PoR); what's your take? 🤔 My opinion: When companies avoid showing proof of reserves it’s natural for people to get suspicious. If a public company says they hold #Bitcoin but won’t prove it you have to wonder what they’re hiding. Could be mismanagement, insolvency or worse. We’ve seen this before with FTX and many others who kept things in the dark. The standard is clear. El Salvador made its Bitcoin wallets public. River does audits. And Bitcoin itself is transparent by design. Anyone resisting that level of openness might be doing it because they’re over-leveraged, running fractional reserves or just don’t want to get caught. The issue isn’t usually about PoR being hard, it’s what PoR might reveal. Maybe they’re afraid of hackers or exposing the fact that their numbers don’t add up. Either way, if they won’t disclose, it’s a 🚩 to me. What are your thoughts? Agree/Disagree?
