my favorite part of early newborn days is spending most of my day with a baby on the boob, wearing practically no clothes, eating a billion snacks, drinking cool ice water and having to socialize with a very limited number of people. #momstr #breastfeeding

Our baby boys are here! They came swift, loud with lots of hair on their head around block 909000. I'm so excited they finally here 🥳 they're identical twins and it's hard to tell them apart by looks thus far. I'll be referring to them as churro and falco in future nostr notes. while they look similar, their personalities are fairly distinct. churro is calmer, more chill while falco is a bit of a wildcard. taro, my firstborn, is so curious about the two new additions. While I was having a bite in the kitchen, he wandered off as toddlers do and came back saying "ah! ah!" in the same cadence as the baby crying and had me follow him to the crib. It's been a long journey for me to have these three children. This is the beginning of an awesome adventure. I'm open to sharing my experiences so feel free to ask any questions on motherhood, infertility and raising twins. #momstr

my fellow friends, I have news to share but haven't had the time to compose a note about it. the news is important and exciting so I want to make sure the note lives up to it. for those who have followed me for the last 9 months or so, you may already have an inkling what the news may be. For now, I will say that all parties involved are healthy and well ❤️

all done! socks are shipped and off to their new homes. the socks-for-sats hiatus is in full swing. I am going to miss knitting socks and hats for fellow nostriches. I'll be spending the remaining days until D-Day lounging around and gathering up energy to birth, cuddle and care for two new babes. signing off nostr for now! time to go do this #momstr thing 😁

Making a pair of booties because it'll be so cute when they're both wearing them. I can't wait to meet the babies! soon! I'm making these with my handspun yarn from Merino wool. It's a little thinner than I like to work with but perfect for small items like this. I used a chain 3ply to preserve the subtle stripes of blue hues. I like it how it turned out 😄 #yarnstr #knitting #handspinning

another bit of handspun yarn. I dug around my spinning stash and found this pretty purple heathered Merino wool batt. I actually haven't spun from a batt preparation before but I really love it. Since I'm spinning mostly with a supported spindle with long draw technique, the preparation makes it so easy to draft. The resulting yarn is light and loft, around DK weight . It'll be such a warm hat or pair of socks. I haven't decided what I'll make, but I'm definitely going to cast something on with it because it'd be a waste to let it linger in my stash. #handspinning #yarnstr #knitting
