with taro, clipping his nails as a newborn was a mom-dad joint effort. with churro and falco, I did them both myself without a second thought. my, how quickly things change.

the weather is so nice this evening. warm with a cool, constant breeze, shade from the trees. yet no one else at the park but us. taro has free reign over all the play structures. churro and falco are napping to the natural white noise of leave rustling. #momstr

today I saw a video of someone preparing wool fiber on a carder, spinning the yarn and weaving a scarf. then listed the scarf for sale at $450. it was shown as sold out. that gives me confidence to do the things that I want to do.

Early newborn days puts me in a very systematic way of thinking. Babies crave routine and yet are unpredictable. A lot of things I learn from taro's newborn days are coming back to me. I wanted to write them down back then but I never had the time or the confidence back then. This time around, I am writing down my notes. I want to remember these days. they are fleeting. So far, these are the snippets I have: on swaddling on trimming newborn nails on mitting hands on breastfeeding at the hospital on painful latching on EBF (exclusively breastfeeding) on formula supplementation on oversupply on changing boy diapers on bomb defusal (setting down sleeping babies) on clusterfeeding #momstr
