Is there a better keyboard app for graphene that doesn't spy on you but works like gboard?
The default one sucks ass.

It is so satisfying and fulfilling to be able to work full time on open source freedom tech.
Almost everyone I know locally is off work for nearly 2 weeks and happy about it. Meanwhile, I literally have trouble stopping myself from "just one or two quick things" every day.
Thank you @OpenSats for making this possible.
Anyone know of nostr web clients that already support remote signer login? Not mobile clients, I'm testing something and want to test on a wide swath of clients quickly.

🎁 Announcing Keycast 🔑
A remote signing platform for teams.
Remote signing (NIP-46) has always had a lot of promise. Apps like Amber, nsec.app, and others have made it possible to manage your nostr keys in a way that is safer than browser extensions or pasting your nsec around the internet.
BUT, none of them catered to teams. Groups like @Nostriga and @The Nostr Report and many many companies out there are just sharing the main account nsec between different people and using it in different apps. A recipe for disaster.
Keycast aims to finally fix this. It allows you to:
- Manage teams of nostr users
- Manage multiple keys that you want to give others access to
- Create authorizations for those keys that grant specific permissions that can be changed, revoked, etc.
- Create your own custom permissions
- Run the signing infrastructure without any extra work
And do it all in a self-sovereign way. Keycast is meant to be run on your server, by you. I think it's tremendously important that this sort of tool doesn't exist as a hosted service (which would basically be a huge key honeypot over time).
The app is both a management web app AND a backend process that manages sub-processes that listen for remote signing requests, check permissions, and sign events.
There is a basic docker setup to start, but my goal is to have this easily deployable to StartOS, Umbrel, Podman, and others.

Got bitten by a neighborhood stray cat earlier breaking up a fight between it and our cat. I know, I should’ve stayed out of it; but ours was definitely getting its ass kicked and this isn’t the first time.
I did well, grabbed the bastard by the scruff of its neck and lower back skin in a way that I had total control and he couldn’t get me. I made it fairly clear he wasn’t welcome and then when I was trying to let it go at the edge of the garden it spun around and bit my wrist pretty bad.
Kids gloves came off at that point and the cat did a windmill into the pavement by its tail. It limped away, but I don’t know if we’ll see it again.
Initially, my 9 year old was pretty shaken by the level of violence. We sat down and had a talk about it after I’d cleaned myself (and our cat) up.
I’m a firm believer that you shouldn’t ever go looking for a fight but you that you also shouldn’t ever shy away from defending yourself and yours if one comes your way.
This is a bit of a small time example but I think it’s important that kids both know that their parents have the ability and the readiness to look after them, and that in certain situations violence is the right answer.
The universe is big.
Our problems are small.

Do fun shit, much of it outside, with people you enjoy. It isn’t much more complicated than that.
A “boomer call” is when you just pick up the phone and call someone without any prior organizing or messaging.
In my experience, it works surprisingly often and usually leads to great (and, by definition, unexpected) conversations!

You know when you can just feel you're starting to get sick... yeah, that's me this morning.
Working on Listr today in any case since it sounds like people are having issues with it.
Some days just feel like a grind. 😖

One of the first albums I ever bought and the first concert I ever went to. It's aged incredibly well.

Always lovely to see the rich imposing austerity on the general public so they can feel less guilt about their consumption.
