GM Nostr!
I had a friend visiting last week and he mentioned that he was hoping to retire early in 10 years or so. We've known each other a long time, so he easily noticed my poorly covered sense of dread and laughed at me.
I mean, I get it. But it's not me. The best problem in the world is to have too much exciting and important feeling work to do and never enough time to do it all.
I'm eternally grateful to have somehow found myself in this position.
I'll never retire. ๐

Quick show of hands, how many Windows users are out there? Trying to decide if adding Windows to the list of supported White Noise platforms is worth it.
That $50M/yr server budget that Signal has is looking riskier more and more every dayโฆ

This is a great article from a good friend of mine on how AI is changing leadership in tech. I think it's got a lot of parallels to the open source world too.
Technical execution will be easier and easier over time. What will matter much more is building the right thing, and building it in the right way. Which takes excellent judgement and taste more than technical chops.
How are you working on improving your judgement and taste?
