Just a humble user of #Bitcoin and #TheNostr, exploring and learning! #Austrich
Is anyone here from Australia or New Zealand? Is there a downunder Nostr scene? #aussie #kiwi #downunder
I think the main theme of technology is that adoption rates will get ever faster and network effect moats will become ever more easily defeated. A constant stream of incumbents toppling in the face of new entrants, repeated over and over ad infinitum. In short, it's the singularity. I think nostr is just another piece of this trend.
Spring.site is awesome. I am bouncing happily back and forth from 10 different apps, doing posts, channels, communities, reading feeds, trending, etc each in different apps, seamlessly, no need to sign in/up multiple times. @brugeman you legend.
I think Nostr apps can attack enterprise SaaS and win. Wide app ecosystem. Default interoperability. Account and data portability. Cloud or on-premise. No lockin. Customers want this and would be hard/impossible for any SaaS to promise the same.
Paid relays! A relay can require payment to post to it i.e. only white list users can post. Can a relay require payment to read? I.e. only white list users can see posts.
Most inspired I've been to code in a decade. Running through @JeffG youtube tutorials on Sveltekit and NDK. image
All right, I'm on for some Nostr.wine. Let's see if I can get found! image
Having trouble. 1) being seen. Incorrect relays? Added some more 2) associating zaps back to my profile. Maybe Alby or Flamingo or Snort related.
All right! Shipyard works. Next test, 1) what about gifs 2) can I reply to a scheduled post, and if I do what happens 3) is this signed but not published, or published with a future timestamp? image
Nostr keybased identity would enable co-tweets, shared npub ownership and even more crazy joint publishing ideas. Need to spend a minute thinking about this.
